Md Abu ZaforMd Abu Zafor is a Graduate Research Assistant (Ph.D.) at the Coastal Hazards and Hydrometeorological Extremes (CoHEX) lab of the University of Southern Mississippi (USM), started in Spring 2023. He holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the Shah Jalal University of Science and Technology, Bangladesh. During the master’s program, he availed German Academic Exchange Services (DAAD) fellowship and spent a couple of months at the University of Kassel, Germany. He has around 10 years of experience in teaching Civil Engineering courses. He published 10 articles in various peer-reviewed journals. Before joining the CoHEX, he had been serving as an Associate Professor at the Bangladesh Army International University of Science and Technology (BAIUST). He is interested in hydrodynamic and water resources research topics. Mr. Zafor often uses R, Python, Google Earth Engine (GEE), and GIS in his research.

Raihan Uddin AhmedSince the Fall of 2023, Raihan Uddin Ahmed has worked as a graduate research assistant (M.S.) at the University of Southern Mississippi's (USM) Coastal Hazards and Hydrometeorological Extremes (CoHEX) lab. He recently received his Bachelor of Science (Engineering) degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Bangladesh's Shahjalal University of Science and Technology and is eager to learn more. He enjoys learning more about different programming languages and occasionally utilizes Python and C. Additionally, Mr. Uddin Ahmed is knowledgeable in QGIS and ArcGIS.
